Geography

It would be an understatement to say that the Breaking shook the world and ripped apart the very foundations of civilization as we know it.  Most of the once great and proud cities that dotted the western part of the continent have been reduced to rubble.  All that is left are the cities of Tear, Tanchico, Jehanna in Ghealdan  and Amador.  Camelyn remains partially standing but all buildings outside the inner city are gone and the palace has been heavily damaged. Cairhien has been wiped out with a massive surge of the power by dark friend forces and all cities North of the Caralain Grass have been destroyed and many cities farther south have been suffered major damaged.

The Chosen were quick to put to death any major Nobility, Generals and other people of influence to quell any uprisings against them before they had a chance to even begin.

Smaller towns, villages and ports faired little better, most becoming occupied to beings that before were only stories used to scare their children into behaving themselves.  Those the farthest flung suffered the least and now have become refuges to the survivors of the Last Battle.

Veridion had taken the Western portion of the continent and in an act of vanity had disassembled the White Tower brick by brick and built a fortress on the banks of the river from it's stones. Long arguments had taken place over the items of power that had been contained within the Aes Sedai stronghold yet eventually the three had come away satisfied having stripped it to it's foundations and beyond of anything of value. Now all that was left of the once proud tower was debris and a lone artifact, the Arches.

Neith had chosen for herself the vast wastelands of the East and nestled her fortress within the city of Rhuidean. Her comrades had laughed at her spoken choice, for the Aiel would rather die then bow down before a Mistress of the Dark. But the Aiel were not the reason she had chosen it as her home. She chose it for it's isolation, for the less that others knew about her experiments the better. Rhuidean also held as well ancient secrets yet to be unlocked and she felt a power there, a power that would serve her should the time ever come to eradicate her fellow Chosen.

Milande claimed the exotic lands of Shara for her own, her love of a lifestyle filled with slaves and luxury drawing her to the East. Shara, being enigmatic to those outside it's boundaries suited her nature as well, as Milande was fond of intrigue and mystery as much as she was a fine wine and a well muscled man. She treats her realm as if it is her oyster, plucking the best from it and discarding the rest to fend for itself. Being the realm farthest flung from the place of the Last Battle it remains nearly intact, a beautiful oasis on the horizon of the worlds devastation.
